At Turnin’ to Faith Farm, we offer faith-centered western riding lessons for children and adults, from first-time beginners to experienced riders looking to strengthen their skills. Each lesson is personalized to the rider’s age, experience, comfort level and individual goals. Our focus is on building safe, confident riders while encouraging responsibility, patience and respect for the horse.Our lessons are about much more than simply getting in the saddle. Students learn how to safely approach, handle and care for a horse while developing a better understanding of how horses think and respond.

 

Depending on the rider’s experience, lessons may include grooming, saddling, groundwork, correct riding position, steering, stopping, balance, communication and overall horsemanship.As riders become more confident, they can continue developing their skills through western pleasure and rodeo events such as barrels, poles, flags, goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping and more. Whether a rider wants to learn for fun, prepare for competition or simply spend meaningful time with horses, we work to create lessons that are both enjoyable and challenging.

 

We believe horses can teach lessons that reach far beyond the arena. Working with them helps develop confidence, courage, patience, focus, kindness and perseverance. Our faith is at the heart of what we do, and we strive to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where riders can grow in their horsemanship while being reminded that God gives us strength, purpose and courage for every season of life.

 

Throughout the year, we may also offer youth horse camps, horse clubs, special riding events and Bible studies for children and adults. These programs give participants additional opportunities to learn, build friendships, grow in their faith and enjoy meaningful time with horses.Students do not need to own a horse to participate. Safe and dependable lesson horses are provided, and riders are carefully matched with a horse that fits their experience and ability.
